Torrens Valley ‘Meet
N Greet’ in Mildura
Over the Melbourne Cup weekend our branch and
Torrens Valley met in Mildura for our annual Meet N
Greet weekend. Twenty three (23) Wanderers made
the journey to one of Victoria’s finest rural cities to
catch up with our sister branch, Torrens Valley.
Most of our members rode up on Friday with John
and Lyn Tout, King George, Graeme & Joanne Brown-
rigg and Ken and Cherie Graham making it into
Mildura by mid-afternoon on Saturday. King George
was so excited he couldn’t sleep so he left at around
3AM on Saturday morning. That’s dedication George—
well done!
Thanks to TV Secretary Mark Seja and his lovely
lady helpers we tucked into a fabulous BBQ on Friday
night and this set the scene for members of both
Branches to meet and mingle with each other. We sat
around the pool in 23 degree weather and we all were
wondering why we don’t move to Mildura to live—it
was so calm and pleasant.
